If you take two or more prescription medicines, the free NHS Medicines Check Up Service can make sure you're getting the most from them
Why would you need a Medicines Check Up?
It's really important that you know how best to take prescribed medicines when managing any long-term health condition. We can help you make sure that your medicines are working for you - sometimes a small change to the way you take your medicines can help them work better.
We can offer face-to-face medicine reviews for you in house at the Pulteney Pharmacy - all you need to do is ask for an appointment and we'll book you in for a free check. We work closely with your doctor and feed back any advice to make sure all of your care is joined-up.
Medicine reviews are a free service provided by the NHS and are a valuable way to learn more about the way the medicine works - helping you to really understand how to get the best from your care. We can help you spot side effects and offer helpful guidance.
How it works
1. Talk to the pharmacist to see if you're eligible for a free check
2. Book a convenient appointment in the pharmacy - often on the day!
3. We'll feed back to your GP if we find anything that needs attention.
How long does it take?
It takes about ten or fifteen minutes to run through your medicines - so it's very straightforward.
At the end of the day we really understand how the medicines work and we are trained to make sure that you get the very best from your medication. We're passionate about improving quality and all of the staff at Pulteney and Bathampton are here for you!
Benefits of this service
